sick germs please leave my home

We have spent the past 5 weeks with someone being sick and I'm so glad it's over! It started with Emma Grace having a fever for four day. Then we were okay and had spring break!! Yay! Emma Grace went to school for one day after spring break and then decided to have another "spring break"...she was sick for four more days with a fever. The next Monday she was so excited to go to school. She got up early, got ready and had her backpack on before 7:00. I thought someone had stolen Emma Grace and replaced her with a look alike.
Then I was sick for a week. Yuk! It wasn't too bad except for the fact that I got the eye infection that lasted FOREVER. Then Todd got the fever and was down for a week. He had it bad! I don't remember the last time he was that bad. He would either sleep or sit there and stare out the window. I was almost like he wasn't here for a week. He literally could not have a conversation with me...poor guy! I was so nice to really talk to him when he started feeling better. Four days into it I asked a friend who is a Melchezidek Priesthood holder to come and give Todd a blessing. Dave and Pye were so great to get their white shirts and ties on and come over to give Todd a blessing. The next day Todd was feeling better. I'm so thankful for the blessing of the Priesthood.
The story doesn't end there. Two days into Todd's sickness, Eliza woke up in the night with a fever of 102.5. Oh my! It lasted five days. She just laid around and slept. She continued to drink with no problem but didn't have much of an appetite. The only other symptom that she had was a headache here and there. I asked her after the first day or two if she would like Daddy to give her a Priesthood blessing. She said okay and Todd gave her a blessing. She felt so much comfort from the blessing. I could tell from her demenear after the blessing. And then there were a couple of times after that when her fever would go back up that she would say, "Can daddy give me a blessing?" So cute! I could tell that she was slowly gaining her testimony of the power of the priesthood. I'm so thankful that I'm married to a worthy Priesthood holder and the way that that blesses our home.
