Every morning Eliza struggles a little bit with letting me fix her hair. You wouldn't believe the distractions I've come up with. So it's not very often that I even try to do pigtails in her hair...I'm just not up for the fight!
But today at preschool they were celebrating "St. Patrick's Day" and suppose to wear green. She had on her green shirt and pink and green flip flops. The only thing missing was some cute pigtails with two green ribbons. Without saying anything to her, I went and cut two green ribbons. I came downstairs and said, "Eliza, you're not going to believe this but I found two green ribbons. It will be perfect for pigtails today." I thought this would be my in for pigtails. Oh No! She immediately told me she didn't want to do pigtails. I started to try to convince her that it would be so cute for "green day". And she continued to disagree. I was about to give up when finally she said, "Not pigtails but two ponytails on the sides". I quickly agreed and went to work!!! Happy day and cute little pigtails!

Those are DEFINITELY pony tails, long and flowing. Piggie tails are short and curly, like the ones at our house. :)
cute Eliza. she has gotten so big (older looking). I had to fight Alyssa with her hair all time, then we just cut and now there are no options. that was easy!!
so cute. i love her independent mind. what a sweetie.
