Eliza 1st day of preschool

September 2007
Eliza had to wait 3 weeks after the other girls started school to begin. She asked nearly everyday if her teacher was ready yet. She finally started after Labor Day! She walked right in and never looked back. Although that day when she came home, I think she thought that was it and was surprised that she got to go again on Thursday.

Charlie's 1st Birthday

FEELING GREEN
Charlie turned one year old on September 20th. Because we celebrated Brenna and Emma Grace's birthday's and I took a trip to New York(pictures/journaling coming of all), we needed to celebrate Charlie's birthday in October.

We celebrated with everything GREEN. Lots of green candy, green limes, green decorations, green alligator in our lawn, green playground balls and even green water(crayola water bottles)
It was a fun family bbq with a Family Home Evening/Monday night theme. Charlie was unsure about the whole thing when 30 people stood around and started singing "Happy Birthday" and I held a cake with candle in front of him.

"I'm getting very sleeepy"

Eliza gave up her naps almost a year ago(frown!) but lately she has been exhausted in the afternoon.
She can fall asleep anywhere!

This time she made herself a bed while I was folding laundry.

If the house is suddenly quiet, I go to see where she has fallen asleep.

This one is my favorite!! I came around the corner and there she was sprawled out on the stairs...toys in hands. It looked like someone cracked her over the head and she passed out on the stairs.

love good toys

Don't you just love it when you find something that your kids really love to do and you had no idea they would love it that much? I bought these little beads intending on giving them as a birthday present but I got desperate one day so I got them out of my hiding spot in my closet. They have spent so much time putting these beads together...not to make jewelry but to see how long they can make it and then they measure things by it. I got them at Target...maybe your kiddos will like them too! Let me know your kids favorite toys...Christmas is coming up...I need ideas!

"If The Prince Had His Way"

Brenna and Emma Grace both started a performing arts group in the spring. Brenna has been asking me for a couple of years if she could do something like this. She loves going to local performances! There spring production was called "If the Prince had His Way". Brenna was one of the dwarfs, Drowsy. Emma Grace was an angel. Brenna absolutely loved it and was sad for it to be over. Emma Grace on the other hand was not quite as thrilled. After the first nights performance, she said, "Mom, please don't take me back there". I felt so bad! I told her that we had already committed to it and she had to do the performance one more time but after that she didn't have to do it anymore. She performed the next night and now she is happy that Brenna is involved and not her.

Emma Grace Kindergarten Graduation

How cute is this picture! Okay...it's way cute to me...her mom. No teeth in front...so cute! It was so cute to see her walk in with all of the kindergarteners with the graduation music playing. You could tell that they told them to not wave and say hi to their parents because they all walked in with their hands to their sides. They wanted to wave but they controlled themselves. And you should see the diploma they gave them. It's nicer than my High School diploma. If I was a true "blogger" I would have a picture already and put it on here. I'm a rookie!

Dancing with the Stars

All three of the girls (well, Charlie too) enjoy dancing.
Brenna and Emma Grace recently performed in a dance recital and loved every minute of the fame and fortune. They both have such a good time performing, and have been fortunate to have wonderful teachers and friends in their dance classes.

Eliza found a perfect spot from which to enjoy the show ... in the front row ... right in the middle of the aisle.
